GUC — Solar City Project
About the project
The first solar energy research project in Egypt, installed at the German University in Cairo. Fixed, rotating and semi-rotating Sun Carrier systems — plus a Wind Carrier — provide a total of 706 kWp of direct-current power. Different types of inverters convert it to 400 V alternating current, which is transformed to 22 kV and fed into the university’s internal medium-voltage grid.
